Good work needs time, said by the best wallers of AP. I finished the mentioned vector and there was 1352 layers and 4 days of work. (dunno how many hours...many, I think)
I need to make a background - it will be also some vector, but is a question of few hours now. Soon I will submit...be ready...

Vectoring is the re-tracing of a image (pic or scan). They are different ways how to do it, for example with pen tool is called re-cg and is already a other style. (however is based on vectoring)
The most easy way to do, is with polygonal lasso. You can make the black outlines first and underpaint it. Or make the color shapes and give a black overlay to the extracted scan.

For your question: VECTORING IS THE MOST TIME CONSUMATING STYLE. Be ready for hours and hours work. My Sweet Home is a full vector and was more than 20 hours and I have a half year experience with.


The result is a high-res mirror clean image, but also the basic vector simplifies the image!
With experience you can make wallpapers even from screenshoots - look on my Baby Lady wallpaper.


For advenced ones, you need a lot of other techniques, mostly very good knowledge of gradient using.

PS. Currently working on a new one...with 8 characters on the screen and already by the 1027th layer and is still not finished.

Yeh , i uploaded some pics that apparently were already submitted , when i looked in all 44 pages of the anime and didnt see them , so i got deducted down to -400 , it would have been 500 if it wasnt for my dbz scan :]

im not gonna stop n.n , ill find a way to get scans up

At the first sec a looked at it was kinda scary and hardcore.
But I can`t believe that you have submitted that wall in progress 7 months ago and still nothing.
But doesn`t matter.
Okay since the image looks kinda negative try using some more brighter colors cause nobody would want that for there desktop background.
Don`t think its a good idea to put a shadow to Naruto`s forehead because it makes his googles looks more bigger.
Just put a little or don`t put nothing.
But for a the wallpaper I could say that it needs to be more brighter.
